Dumped Walmart

A couple of weeks ago I got one of my products into Walmart Marketplace. At first, I was thrilled. In an after-thought I decided that I didn't want to give them 15 percent of my profits. They wanted me to change all of my page backgrounds to white. I did this to get on their site, but when I looked at my own site, I realized that it didn't look like what I had originally created. So, I changed everything back to what I had originally created. I also removed all of my listings from Etsy. This decision was made because a very long time ago I felt that it was time to move on from Etsy. A bigger platform was needed. To do this I moved my products to Facebook, and in the process, I gained exposure in two additional shops. When I created my Facebook Business account an automatic option to create an Instagram Shop was part of the process. It took me a few days to build these sites from the floor up. Both sites link back to my Shopify Shop account. So, basically all the hassles that Etsy and Walmart gave me were completely solved with making this decision. Now instead of millions of opportunities to sell my products, I've been blessed with billions.... a few billion with Facebook and Instagram combined. There is a God. Stay blessed people.

Cucumber Daily Cleanser

I'm a happy camper today. My product has made it to on-line Walmart stores. Several months ago, I started the branding process and created two new brands. Those brands are "LadyHawk Of Heartland and Blondell". At a later date I will reveal the story behind those two name brands that were chosen. In the midst of all of this an LLC was formed, and I made my business a legal entity in the state of Florida.  The paperwork seemed to be endless yet worth every sleepless night spent trying to pull it all together. No loans were taken out, and no financial support was obtained from outside sources.  I started creating my own personal care items back in 1995. I closed the business and went back to college and earned two degrees. One day last year I decided to put the business back together, and finally we have arrived. It has been an amazing journey to see it all fall into place. With faith in myself, and the guidance of Allah I was able to fulfill my dream. The dream still has more to come as I continue to create. Getting into Walmart came a lot sooner than I expected. When the opportunity presented itself to me, I could not turn it down. The entire project has been one of my greatest challenges. I am truly blessed to be able to fulfill my dreams. I have no plans to quit my job as that was the means to get me to this point in time. Cucumber Daily Cleanser

Revamped The Blog Today

It has been many months since I have last contributed any information about the things most important to me by way of this blog. Guess you could say I've treated this page like the forgotten stepchild. Well, maybe not so harshly (snicker here). After many years of webpage building for one reason or another, I simply walked away from the sometimes-stressful task of creating content by way of webpages. Over the past few weeks, I find myself back at creating a webpage for my new skincare products and now the updating of this page, which took most of the day.  Finally, it looks like I want it to. I'm off from work and enjoying my summer vacation for the next ten weeks. So maybe creating content via this page will prove to be better than visiting Mr. Refrigerator and Mrs. Cabinet all summer. There definitely has been an increase in my cravings for junk food. I've been used to working ten-hour days and being too tired to eat during the school year. Infact at this very moment my thoughts are of something sweet to eat which I definitely don't need. Salad for dinner tonight will be the wiser choice. The hope is that you enjoy my content and follow a page of two. I have some beautiful Romney fleece I will be starting to work on. I'll share that with you, and of course you can enjoy information about my new skincare line by following the links to my products under the page header labeled "My Skincare Blog and Shop Now". Off to the store I go for salad fixings. Until next time. Stay blessed people.

All Nostepinne Are Not Equally Useful

The nostepinne on the left measures 12 3/4 inches while the nostepinne on the right measures 10 inches. The nostepinne on the left has 9 1/2 inches of workspace area (meaning that you have 9 1/2 inches in which to successfully wind your yarn into a center-pull ball of yarn) were as the 10  inch nostepinne only provides you with a workspace of 4 1/2 inches. The area is limited due to the fact that the nostepinne on the right has decorative grooves around the nostepinne in four places. The grooves catch your yarn as you wind on to the nostepinne causing it to become bound up in the grooves and difficult to remove the center-pull ball away from the nostepinne without destroying the inner core of the center-pull area. From personal experience I find the nostepinne on the right to be a poor choice of tools to work with. The nostepinne on the left creates a much smoother transition in removing the center-pull ball of yarn from the nostepinne. The nostepinne on the left holds 4 to 6 ounces of fiber once wound and the nostepinne on the right yields a center-pull ball of yarn weighing in at 1 ounce. The nostepinne on the left was purchased from an Etsy Shop called M McGinnis Woodworking out of Beaver Creek, Ohio. I provided the info now you make the choice. I think I prefer the simplicity of the nostepinne on the left rather than the one on the right with decorative grooves that limit the workspace.
